Club Notes 12th August 2015

August 12, 2015

Last Saturday we took on St Clarets in the Mularkey Cup final in Ruslip. This was the fourth meeting of the season with St Clarets who had beaten us twice on previous occasions.

We started the better of the two teams and built up a lead of eight points at half time. Clarets came out all guns blazing in the second half and reduced our lead to three points with five minutes to go. Some great defensive play ensured we kept Clarets at bay and went on to win 1-11 to 1-7.

This result ensured the club won our first piece of silverware. Well done to the players and management.

We have no game this weekend. Next up we take on Crawley and Brighton Gaels in the third round of the Championship on Sunday 23rd August.

We will be running a Last Man Standing completion based on the English Premier League. Entry is £10 with a guaranteed prize fund of £500 for the winner. If you would like to get involved please contact any club member.
