Last Thursday our first team were defeated by a much stronger Tir Conaill Gaels team in the prestigious Mullarkey Cup on a scoreline of 1-14 to 12 points. With a limited squad Eire Og were unable to keep with TCG’s superior fitness which showed when they pulled away in the last 20 minutes; not even the introduction of London Junior starlet Ronan Campfield could shift the game in our favour. Stand out players for Eire Og on the day were Steve Perry, John Bradley and Sean Allen.
This Thursday our Junior side (the Galacticos) will play KKG at home in the league. Our first team are due to play Naomh Padraig in the championship on the 12th July.
Training takes place Tuesdays at 7.30pm at our home ground in Downhills Park, N17 6BP. New players are always very welcome to join our friendly club. If you are moving to London we can assist new players with accommodation and employment. We are based in North London and have our own pitch and clubhouse. The club covers a wide catchment area for players and includes; North, East and Central London, the city of London and Westminster, boroughs of Islington, Camden, Haringey, Kilburn, Hackney, along with many other areas.
