Match report v Shalloe Pearses

Last Saturday we took on Shalloe Pearses in our final league game of the season, the game took place on a nice in conditions in Greenford.

We had a limited number available for the game with 20 players been togged out, the game got underway with Pearses taking an early lead of four unanswered scores. It was 15 minutes into the game when we woke up and decided we would get involved.

Some good play from the midfield and the forwards seen us reduce the score margin but just before half time Shalloe scored a goal to open up six point lead at half time.

Half time 0-3 to 1-6

Some words from the management seemed to register with the lads as they took to the field for the second half.

Both teams had there fair share of possession in but missed chances.

A heated moment in the game seemed to spur both teams on but more so us than Pearses

We had Shalloe camped in there own half for the better part of the second half and go the game back to three points with five minutes to go. We pushed forward in search of a goal and Pearses caught us on the break and took a point, we where four points down with two minutes to go and kept pushing to get the scores needed, Pearses defended well and held on for the win.
