Match report: Eire Og 0-1 v 1-11 St Anthony’s
We took on St Anthony’s on Sunday in the second round of the Championship. The game took place on a blustery afternoon in Wormwood Scrubs.
The game got underway with St Anthony’s having the wind in their favour in the first half and they took a couple of early chances to open up a two point lead. The lads defended well and ensured that Anthony’s had a minimal lead at half time.
We went in a half time needing to overturn a five point deficit.
We were very slow out of the blocks in the second half and conceded another couple of answered scores. Anthony’s had upped their game and worked the ball well. We never got into the game in the second half and Anthony’s ran out comfortable winners in the end.
We would like to wish St Anthony’s all the best in the semi final.
