John Tierney was ratified as the new manager of the football team for 2014 on Tuesday night.
The Galway native was formally handed the reins at our Annual General Meeting meeting of the 14th January 2014.
John, who picked up a career ending knee injury while playing for the club last season was keen to stay involved with the Club, John takes over from Paul Maher, who stepped down at the end of the season due to family commitments.
The club would never have got off the ground without Paul’s commitment and we are very happy that he continues to be involved on the Committee.
Club Chairman Conor Mc Ginn offered his sincere thanks to Paul for his commitment and professional approach with the panel since the club was founded.
John addressed the members in attendance and gave a brief overview of his plan for the year ahead. John mentioned that Patrick Reynolds will be involved with his management team.
